A few months ago, as we continued to build and deploy our quantitative trading strategies, we noticed something. Many readers reached out letting us know that while they were interested in following along and testing the strategies themselves, they had a difficult time setting up the code and other pre-requisites.
We love and appreciate all of our readers, so, we took some time out and created The Volatility Trading Bible, a series that breaks down how we set up the code, servers, and strategies that make it all possible. Since then, we’ve been lucky to have hundreds of readers sign up and join us on the ride!
After launch, we kept business running as usual and continued gunning for new strategies — fortunately, it wasn’t long before we stumbled on our primary cash cow — selling volatility:
This most recent strategy has been so effective, that even some of your fellow readers have been getting in on the real-world action (along with a few other, newer strats):
By the way, join us over at The Quant’s Playbook’s Discord! 😄 Here, you can ask any questions you may have regarding strategies, code, brokers, or whatever else comes to mind!
We operate on a firm no reader left behind principle, so we dove right back in and added the new strategy to the series:
As time goes on, we will keep the series alive by adding new strategies and making sure everything works as intended (e.g., appropriate package versions, adapting to API changes, etc.). Additionally, support channels for all of your questions remain open either through the dedicated support channel, the Discord server, or even over e-mail! 😄
The Quant’s Playbook is and will continue to be a reader-supported publication. We don’t sell ads and we never advocate for tools or products we don’t fully endorse and use internally.
Aside from your personal achievement, your enrollment helps contribute to testing new data sources, research platforms, and to helping this publication truly remain the premier source on quantitative finance.
We’ve worked tirelessly around the clock to deliver you the highest amount of value possible and continuing to do so gives us great pride.
So, whether you want to keep up with future experiments, get some juice out of our strategies, or if you’d just like to support the publication — we hope to see you there!
